Fall Tumbling Classes Are Enrolling Now

Published September 21, 2026  ·  Bailey’s Sports, Bend, OR  ·  Tumbling & Cheer

The fall season is officially rolling at Bailey’s Sports: Tumbling & Cheer. Our Rec Cheer squads just wrapped their first week, our All Star teams spent the entire weekend learning their competition routines, and there is still room in our Tumbling classes for athletes who want to learn a round-off, land a back handspring, or finally connect that full pass.

Whether your kid is a cheerleader, a dancer, a gymnast, or just someone who loves to flip, here is what is happening at BSTC right now and how to jump in.

Tumbling Classes: Find Your Level

Every tumbling class at Bailey’s Sports is Co-Ed and open to athletes of all backgrounds. Classes are grouped by skill level, so beginners build the basics with kids at the same stage and advanced athletes get pushed by coaches who know exactly what the next skill should be. Our coaches build real technique step by step, from first forward rolls all the way to connected twisting passes.

  • Jr. Tumbling (ages 6 to 7). A fun first step into tumbling: forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and the body awareness that sets kids up for round-offs and back handsprings later on.
  • Intro to Tumbling (ages 8 to 18). For athletes who are new to tumbling or still building confidence with the basics. Handstands, cartwheels, backbend kickovers, and front limbers, at each athlete’s own pace.
  • Tumbling 1. Round-offs, dive rolls, front walkovers, and back walkovers.
  • Tumbling 2. Powerful round-offs, front and back handsprings on floor, and the start of front and back tucks.
  • Tumbling 3. Connected front and back tumbling passes and back layouts. This expert level class meets two days a week.
  • Tumbling 4. Our most advanced class: refined connected passes, twisting elements, Arabians, and front tucks built into established passes.
Not sure which level fits? Complete our quick Level Assessment Form and our coaches will help place your athlete at the right level from the start. Tumbling 1 and above require graduating the previous level or an evaluation for placement.

Rec Cheer Squads Are Off and Running

Our Fall Rec Cheer squads kicked off their season on September 15, and the first week could not have gone better. The Mini Squad and Junior Squad both showed up ready to work, and our coaches have been blown away by how quickly these athletes are picking up motions, jumps, and the first pieces of their routines. There is a lot of energy on the floor right now, and a whole lot of smiles.

Fall squad registration is closed, but if your cheerleader wants to keep building skills between seasons, tumbling classes are the perfect complement. Round-offs, back handsprings, and clean jumps are exactly what rec and competitive cheer coaches love to see. Winter squad registration info is coming soon, so keep an eye on the Rec Cheer page.

Choreography Weekend for Impulse Elite

This past weekend was a big one for our All Star program. Both Impulse Elite teams, Prep and Elite, spent the entire weekend at BSTC in choreography, learning their competition routines from the first count to the last. Stunts, pyramids, tumbling passes, jumps, and dance all came together over two long days, and these athletes worked incredibly hard for every section.

Now the real work begins. With routines in hand, the teams are gearing up for competition season, cleaning every motion and drilling every stunt until it is second nature. We are so proud of the focus and teamwork these athletes brought all weekend long. Follow along on Instagram and Facebook as we count down to their first competition.

Why Tumbling Is the Right Next Step

For cheerleaders: tumbling skills are the fastest way to stand out on any squad or team. Round-off back handsprings and standing tucks open doors to higher levels.

For dancers and gymnasts: clean aerials, walkovers, and connected passes translate directly to the floor and the stage.

For everyone else: tumbling builds strength, flexibility, body control, and confidence, and it is just plain fun to learn how to flip.
