What is Bailey’s Sports?
Bailey’s Sports is the next chapter of Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy (COGA) and Truckstop Action Sports, two organizations that already have deep roots here in Central Oregon. It’s designed to become a premier multi-sport center in Bend.
The project brings together a wide variety of sports and activities under one roof, creating a place where every child can find a meaningful connection to fitness, fun and community.
Why is this project needed?
Bend’s population is forecasted to grow from roughly 106,900 today to more than 132,000 by 2035. Current sports facilities are already beyond capacity: our current facility, COGA, is running near max capacity with waitlists on many programs, and Bend Parks & Rec is seeing similarly overwhelming demand.
Our outdoor skatepark work with Truckstop Action Sports can only happen seasonally, but Bend’s action sports community deserves an indoor facility to train and ride year-round. Bailey’s Sports expands access so more kids and families can find an activity that sparks a lifelong passion.
What’s included in Phase 1?
Bailey’s Sports (45,706 sq. ft.) is a brand-new multi-sport facility offering:
- Gymnastics (recreational & competitive) and tumbling
- Preschool gymnastics & early movement
- Cheer, volleyball, aerial and tricking
- Super tramp, air awareness, yoga & fitness
- Adaptive programs, ninja and birthday parties
Truckstop Skatepark (8,212 sq. ft.) is an indoor action sports hub for scooter, skateboard and BMX, with a foam pit, resi-mats, halfpipe, ledges, kickers and rollers, plus weekly classes from preschool through high school, camps, clinics, open ride and competitions.
What’s included in Phase 2?
Phase 2 adds a 22,852 sq. ft. action sports building right next to the Phase 1 gym, bringing Truckstop Skatepark onto the unified Bailey’s Sports campus.
It will house a state-of-the-art indoor skatepark designed by world-renowned skatepark engineer Dug Ketterman, plus a large Ninja Warrior training and competition area. Together, both phases create the largest, most diverse multi-sport and action-sports complex in Central Oregon, capable of hosting regional and national skate, scooter and ninja events.
Who’s designing the indoor skatepark?
Our Phase 2 skatepark is being designed by Dug Ketterman, a world-renowned skatepark engineer who has designed Olympic, X Games, Dew Tour, Red Bull, Nike/Vans US Open and Nitro Circus parks, over 750 parks in total.
He’s building a custom park to fit our youth instructional model, with careful attention to making it rideable for everyone, especially younger, school-aged riders learning to progress in a safe, climate-controlled space. The building will also include Ninja cages, party rooms and a viewing area for friends and family.
How big will the whole campus be?
Once both phases are complete, Bailey’s Sports will span 68,558 sq. ft. across two buildings on 5.3 acres on Bend’s growing north end, designed by the nation’s best sports complex designer using time-tested sports models.
It’s part of a nationwide trend: private sports facilities attracted $5.8 billion in investment in 2022 alone, and we’re bringing that momentum to Central Oregon.
What’s the project timeline?
Phase 1 is underway now and opens this winter! Phase 2 will follow once Phase 1 is established. We’ll share regular progress updates and key milestone dates as construction moves forward.
Where will Bailey’s Sports be located?
The campus sits on 5.3 acres on the north end of Bend, Oregon, central to both Bend and Redmond, and part of a new family-friendly development with more exciting offerings for the community.

No need to wait for the new campus to open. Your kids can jump into sports with us today! Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy already offers gymnastics, tumbling, ninja and cheer, and Truckstop Action Sports runs scooter, skateboard and BMX classes, camps and clinics right here in the community.
