Our invite-only and tryout-based Pre-Team pathway bridges recreational gymnastics and our Competitive Team program — three progressive levels that build the strength, skill, and discipline required to compete at the highest level.

Three levels, one path to Competitive Team.
Pre-Team is Bailey’s Sports’ developmental pathway into competitive gymnastics — a structured, invitation- and tryout-based progression that takes athletes from their first taste of team training all the way to a spot on our Competitive Team.
Athletes typically progress from Mighty Shots to Hot Shots Pre-Team to Pre-Team as they build the strength, skill, and consistency competitive gymnastics demands. Placement at every level is based on coach evaluation, not enrollment order — not every athlete follows the same timeline.

Mighty Shots Development Team
The Mighty Shots Development Team is designed for young athletes who demonstrate exceptional coordination, strength, focus, and a love for gymnastics. This invite-only class provides a structured environment where gymnasts develop foundational gymnastics skills while building the strength, body awareness, listening skills, and work habits needed for future success.
Athletes participate in progressive training that emphasizes skill development, confidence, discipline, and coachability. Mighty Shots serves as an early pathway toward our Pre-Team and Competitive Team programs. Athletes are also welcome to transition into our Rec program if they meet the minimum age requirement.
Placement is by coach invitation only.

Hot Shots Pre-Team
Hot Shots Pre-Team is for athletes who have demonstrated strong athletic ability, focus, strength, and potential for competitive gymnastics. This program bridges the gap between recreational gymnastics and competitive team training by introducing more advanced skill development, conditioning, and practice expectations.
Gymnasts will work toward mastering foundational competitive skills while developing the strength, flexibility, and mental focus required for higher-level training.
Hot Shots is a direct pathway to our Competitive Team program.

Pre-Team
Our Pre-Team program is designed for athletes who have demonstrated the talent, dedication, strength, and focus necessary to pursue competitive gymnastics. Training emphasizes skill progression, strength and flexibility development, proper technique, and the discipline required for competitive success.
Athletes in Pre-Team are evaluated on both physical abilities and readiness for the commitment of competitive gymnastics. The program serves as the final developmental step before placement on a Competitive Team.
Pre-Team is the primary training pathway into our Competitive Team program.
