What a weekend. Bend Fall Fest filled downtown with pumpkins, music, food, and thousands of families, and Bailey’s Sports was right in the middle of it as the presenting sponsor of the Family Play Zone. We brought an obstacle course, a prize wheel, and a whole crew of coaches, and we spent two days doing what we love most: getting kids moving and talking with Bend families about what we are building.
Our home base for the weekend: the Bailey’s Sports booth at the Family Play Zone.
The Obstacle Course Was the Star
We set up a full obstacle course right in the Play Zone, and our coaches were out on it the whole weekend, spotting, cheering, and helping the littlest participants find their footing, the same way they do every day in our gyms.
Non-stop traffic on the obstacle course all weekend long.
The best part was watching kids who had never set foot in a gymnastics gym or a tumbling class light up on their first run through. That is exactly what our programs are built around: confidence, coordination, and the kind of fun that makes kids want to come back.
Our coaches spent the weekend doing what they do best.
Spin the Wheel, Win a Prize
After the obstacle course, every kid got a turn at the Bailey’s Sports prize wheel. We stocked it with plenty of fun giveaways, and we also had our Fall Fest raffle running at the booth, with a free week of Halloween Camp, a month of class tuition, and a month of Open Gym or Playmania membership up for grabs. If you entered, keep an eye on your inbox. Winners will be contacted soon.
Talking With Bend About What We’re Building
Between runs on the course, we had hundreds of conversations with parents and grandparents about Bailey’s Sports. Some families have been with us for years at COGA. Plenty of others had no idea that gymnastics, tumbling, cheer, volleyball, and skate and scooter camps all live under one roof here in Bend, or that Phase 1 of the new Bailey’s Sports Complex opens this winter.
Lots of great conversations with families next to the course.
One of the most common questions we heard all weekend: “How do we try it out?” For a lot of families, the answer is Playmania and Open Gym. These drop-in sessions at COGA are the easiest way to get a feel for our gym before committing to a class. Playmania gives toddlers and preschoolers a soft, safe space to climb and explore with a parent nearby, and Open Gym lets bigger kids bounce on the trampolines, flip into the foam pit, and burn off energy with our coaches on the floor. No enrollment, no experience needed, just show up and play.
- Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy (COGA): recreational and competitive gymnastics, Tots classes, Open Gym, and Playmania.
- Bailey’s Sports Tumbling & Cheer: tumbling classes, Rec Cheer, and Impulse Elite All Star Cheer.
- Bailey’s Sports Volleyball: clinics, camps, and training for young athletes.
- Truck Stop Action Sports: skate and scooter camps and clinics.

Family Play Zone, Powered by Bailey’s Sports
Sponsoring the Family Play Zone was an easy yes for us. Fall Fest is one of the best weekends of the year in Bend, and giving kids a place to run, climb, and play in the middle of it is exactly the kind of thing we want to be part of. Thank you to the Fall Fest organizers and volunteers for an incredible event, and to every family who stopped by to say hello.
To everyone who ran the course, spun the wheel, grabbed a prize, or just stopped to chat: thank you. Weekends like this are a reminder of why we do what we do.
This was not a one-time thing. Look for the Bailey’s Sports booth at the next community event in Bend for free Open Gym passes, prizes, and more. Stay tuned for details, and join our newsletter to be the first to hear about upcoming events.
