FAQ

Bailey’s Sports Project – Community Q&A

What is bailey’s sports?

Bailey’s Sports is the next chapter of Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy (COGA) and Truckstop Action Sports – two organization that already have deep roots here in central Oregon. It is designed to become a premier multi-sport center in Bend.

The project will bring together a wide variety of sports and activities under one roof, creating a place where every child can find a meaningful connection to fitness, fun and community.

Why is this project needed?

Bend’s population is forecasted to grow from 106,926 today to more than 132,000 by 2035. Current sports facilities in Bend are already beyond their capacity with our current facility, COGA running at near max capacity and many programs having waitlists.

The work we do with Truckstop Action Sports, in partnership with Bend Parks & Rec outdoor skateparks can only happen seasonally – but the action sports community of Bend deserves an indoor skatepark facility, where they can train and ride YEAR ROUND! Bailey’s Sports will expand access so more kids and families can participate in any activity that sparks curiosity and hopefully, life-long passion!

I hear the project is split in to 2 phases. What will be included in Phase 1?

Phase 1 will feature two new facilities:

Bailey’s Sports (45,706 sq. ft.) — A brand-new multi-sport facility offering:
• Gymnastics (recreational & competitive)
• Tumbling
• Preschool gymnastics & early movement
• Cheer
• Volleyball
• Tricking
• Aerial
• Super tramp & air awareness
• Yoga & fitness
• Adaptive programs
• Ninja
• Birthday parties
• More to come!

Truckstop Skatepark (8,212 sq. ft.) — An indoor action sports hub located in our current COGA facility on Layton Ave, featuring:
• Scooter
• Skateboard
• BMX
• Trampoline training for air awareness
• Camps & clinics
• Weekly instructional classes (ages 2–high school)
• Competitions
• Open ride sessions
• Birthday parties

What will be included in Phase 2?

Phase 2 will expand the Bailey’s Sports Campus with a 22,852 sq. ft. indoor skatepark and Ninja Warrior training center, designed by world-renowned skatepark engineer Dug Ketterman.

This next phase will include:
• Indoor skatepark with features for all levels, from beginners to advanced youth and adults
• Large Ninja Warrior training and competition area
• Regional and national competitions in ninja, skate, and scooter
• Relocation of Truckstop Skatepark operations from the Layton Ave facility to the unified Bailey’s Sports campus

What is the project timeline?

For Phase 1, we will be breaking ground in fall 2025 with a projected grand opening of late fall or early winter 2026. Phase 2 will follow at a later date once Phase 1 is completed and established. As the project moves forward we will provide regular progress updates and share key milestone dates so our community can follow along every step of the way!

Where will Bailey’s Sports be located?

The project will be built on 5.3 acres on the north end of Bend, Oregon. Its location is central to both Bend and Redmond and will be part of a new family-friendly development with exciting offerings for the community.

Who is behind the project?

Bailey’s Sports is led by Jordan and Jacob Bailey, the team behind the growth of Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy and founders of Truckstop Action Sports.

For over a decade they have been dedicated to helping kids discover confidence, community and fun through movement. Their vision is to create a destination where gymnastics, cheer, volleyball, action sports, ninja, aerial and fitness and more come together in one place. CLICK HERE to read more about the Baileys.

What makes Bailey’s Sports different?

This is not just a gym…or just a skatepark. It is a multi-sport campus designed for all ages and abilities. Bailey’s Sports combines traditional sports with action sports and fitness in a way that sparks confidence, creativity and resilience in kids. From gymnastics to ninja, volleyball to skateboarding, preschool classes to BMX, the goal is to give every child a space to explore, grow and thrive year-round.

How can my kids get involved now?

No need to wait for the new campus to open, your kids can jump into sports with us today! Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy already offers a variety of programs in gymnastics, tumbling, ninja and cheer.

Truckstop Action Sports runs scooter, skateboard and BMX classes, camps and clinics right here in the community. We are proud to already be making an impact for local families and we cannot wait to spend time with your kids now and in the future.
